Nintendo’s new gaming console, the Nintendo Switch 2, has sold over 3.5 million units worldwide in just four days since its June 5, 2025 launch, the company announced on its official website. This marks the strongest four-day launch performance for any Nintendo gaming console in history.
In Japan, consumers continue to struggle with obtaining the console as many lose out in lottery-based sales, leading to persistent supply shortages. Meanwhile, the simultaneously released “Mario Kart World” is performing strongly, with over 140,000 copies sold in the week of July 3rd alone!
